About us
Our Mission
The HKCEM Ultrasound Subcommittee is dedicated to promoting and advancing emergency point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS) in Hong Kong by enhancing training, competency, and research.
Objectives
- Provide emergency PoCUS education for physicians and residents.
- Foster collaboration in emergency PoCUS research.
- Develop tools and pathways for competency assessment and quality assurance.
- Serve as a networking platform for HKCEM members interested in emergency PoCUS.
- Collaborate with national and international PoCUS organizations.
Strategies
- Develop and disseminate HKCEM ultrasound position statements, curricula, and guidelines, following Board-approved processes.
- Collaborate with various organizations and activities including different HKAM colleges, international PoCUS training centers, residency programs and PoCUS courses.
- Establish an online database of emergency ultrasound resources (e.g., research, curricula, educational materials).
- Facilitate the coordination and prioritization of emergency PoCUS research
